Acclaimed Kansas writer Martha Hendricks held a packed book launch at Prairie Winds Books this weekend, marking the release of her latest novel, Pioneer Hearts – Love on the Kansas Prairie. Set in 1870s Kansas, the novel explores love, loss, and resilience on the frontier. “It’s a story about what people carry through hardship,” Hendricks said. “And how love can be a kind of survival.”
